We are familiar with the very old saying”the truth hurts”. But in the case of show titled “Defending the caveman” it is ‘cunningly witty’. This show looks at the associations from men and women’s viewpoint in a sincere manner. Instead of comparing the differences it takes the show to a higher level i.e. by comparing today’s way of life with our ancient cavemen ancestor.
This show is created by the writer cum comedian Mr. Rob; it is the longest running solo play in Broadway history as well as an International hit. He wrote the script of this comedy while studying fields like prehistory, anthropology, sociology, mythology and psychology. Hence this play is a ‘mixture’ of all these.
Since 2003, comedian named Burke has performed in various plays of Mr. Rob. His timing of the comedy and his sense of humor has made the crowd feel connected with each other. During the show Burke ponders over questions such as “Why do girls gather mutually in a group and chitchat so much? And perceptibly what’s wrong with just cuddling?” and presents the solutions to theses questions by drumming his ‘inner caveman’ and also at assured moments during the play when the scene becomes theatrical the theater illumination weaken and turn fluorescent which adds color to the play.
This show knows our distinctiveness and how many characters we share with the conflicting sex. It has a curative effect on the mind it removes all the strain, the people who have witnessed watching it will convince you on that.
