How to play Punto Banko
Punto Banco is a famous poker game that is similar in its rules to the popular card game called Baccarat. However Punto Banco is different from the older game in that the game does not allow optional plays. This game can be played on a single dealer normal black jack table that is normally seen in conventional casinos. The rules of the game is relatively simple compared to other card games and is played by most people. Here is a quick brief that will let you know how to play this game.

It is played with a normal 52 cards standard deck. At the beginning of the game, the dealer shuffles the cards well and places it in the shoe. The dealer normally does not participate in the game. He\she only guides the players and tells them the rules if they are not clear with it. Then each player must place his bet on the betting area of the Punto Banko table. The player can bet on the player, otherwise called as Punto, or the bank, known as Banko, or may bet on a “Stand off” which is nothing but a tie. When these initial bets are done, the player who acts as the bank distributes 2 cards to the player who have made the largest bid and to himself. Then the player is allowed to see his two cards and he gives his cards to the dealer who places them in a place called “punto”. The banker also does the same and the dealer places it in a place known as “banko”. Then the winner is decided based on whose total is near to 9 not exceeding it. The total is last digit of the total sum of the cards at hand. When both the player and the banker have the same total it is a tie.
